Multi-Disciplinary Applications of High-Purity PBN

In advanced materials science, standard sintered ceramics often fail to meet the stringent requirements of OLED manufacturing, semiconductor epitaxy, and high-temperature electrochemistry. By utilizing a binder-free Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process, Telite Ceramics produces a highly reliable pyrolytic boron nitride crucible that addresses severe pain points across these critical industries.

1. OLED & VTE: Eliminating Spitting and Condensation

During the Vacuum Thermal Evaporation of organic materials, poor thermal distribution often leads to material “spitting” or condensation at the crucible lip. A specialized PBN OLED crucible leverages the material’s thermal anisotropy—conducting heat rapidly along its walls to ensure a highly uniform temperature field. This makes it an exceptionally stable VTE evaporation crucible, maximizing the yield of sensitive organic deposition processes.

2. High-Temperature Electrochemistry and Molten Salts

Accurately measuring the electrical conductivity of molten salts at temperatures exceeding 1000°C requires a container that will not interfere with the readings. Standard quartz and alumina fail due to high-temperature ion leakage. By functioning as a dedicated molten salt conductivity cell, our PBN components provide extreme electrical insulation and chemical inertness, ensuring test data is completely isolated from container interference.

3. MBE (Molecular Beam Epitaxy): The Purity Standard

For the epitaxial growth of compound semiconductors (such as GaAs, GaN), maintaining an Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) environment is non-negotiable.
